Headed up by Dr. Roxanne Russell with 20+ years experience in higher ed classrooms, the Brains unit of Full Tilt Ahead keeps the focus of our design and strategies on allowing faculty to share their unique perspectives and personalities in new ways. We call on the best instructional design talent to bring evidence-based practices and flexible approaches to online and blended learning.
Roxanne received her M.A. in English from Auburn University and Ph.D. in Instructional Technology and Design from Georgia State University. Her groundbreaking work on the cultural dynamics of the instructional design process is cited in the 2020 edition of the Handbook of Research on Educational Communications and Technology.
Roxanne has consulted on several projects in collaboration with faculty and subject-matter-experts to disseminate groundbreaking research through building communities of practice or online training programs. Roxanne’s research projects have explored the uses and production of digital media from the concept and design phases through evaluation, implementation and dissemination in public, private, and non‐profit sectors in the US, India and China. Her pragmatic research perspective has been rooted in the instructional technology and design discipline, and has taken advantage of analytical, design-based, quantitative and qualitative methods for inquiry.
Lauren received her M.A. in English literature from Auburn University, and she contributes her extensive online teaching experience and her effective organizational skills to maximize student learning outcomes and promote the stature of various university writing programs.
Working with multiple universities has given Lauren experience teaching within different learning management systems such as eCollege, WebTycho, Desire2Learn, E-Racer, and University of Phoenix’s “homegrown” LMS.
As an online college instructor, Lauren has hands-on experience with faculty development scaffolding as it affects course design and curriculum development. She has been hand-selected to participate in Quality Enhancement Plans (QEP), in advanced facilitation certification training programs, and to train faculty members for online professional development.
As a subject matter expert, Lauren collaborates with instructional design teams and applies knowledge of adult learning theories to design and develop content for online writing courses. She has provided recommendations regarding all aspects of the content arrangement, sequencing of lessons, use of assessments, and selection of class activities.

Headed up by Adarsh Char with 20+ years experience in enterprise class education technology, the Brawn unit of Full Tilt Ahead keeps the focus of our technology development on function, sustainability, integration, and user interaction. FTA firmly believes in collaboration which is why we use the AGILE approach to project management. When developing a technology tool it is imperative for the audience to have a voice.
Adarsh has leveraged his cross-cultural management strengths to help build a global education technology company that provides special education compliance and assessment solutions to some of the largest school districts and States in the US and India.
His educational technology accomplishments include his conception and development of State-wide compliance solutions that have lasted over 11 years, and earned over $45M. In addition, he led the development of an Enterprise-class Formative Assessment platform used by over 1.2 million students in over 20,000+ schools throughout the US, including a 250,000 item content bank.
