What we delivered

Project Scope

From correspondence course to fully online

It started as a correspondence course

A self-paced, correspondence certificate program.
  1. Student requests info.
  2. DMP mails brochure and registration form.
  3. Student mails check and registration form.
  4. Student finds a clinical instructor.
  5. DMP mails program materials to the student, consisting of printed documents in a three-ring binder and audio CDs.
  6. DMP mails program materials to the clinical instructor, consisting of printed documents in a three-ring binder and audio CDs.
  7. Student completes assignments and submits to the clinical instructor.
  8. Clinical instructor reviews the assignment and submits it back to the student.
  9. Student mails the assignment to the Dietary Manager Program and proceeds to the next lesson.
  10. DMP mails the graded assignment back to the student.

Now it is fully online

A self-paced, online certificate program.
  1. Students self-register and pay. Clinical instructors self-register.
  2. Student takes the course. Content is broken into easy-to-manage chunks with clear indicators that focus on what is expected, what is coming up, and how to proceed in this self-paced, guided program.
  3. Automated processes ease use across custom learning designs. Students and clinical instructors work together within the system using a custom, group-based workflow before submitting to graders.
  4. Audio files are embedded and play within the system, allowing for just-in-time learning and reducing the equipment needed to take the course.
  5. Knowledge checks are built into lessons to ensure student engagement and understanding.
