Read Ahead AI, our passion project to get middle grade students reading again, has been discontinued. When we created Read Ahead AI, we set out to change literacy for the better. Thanks to you, our amazing user base, we were able to do that. Despite our closure, we want to celebrate the wins: Winning an EdTech Cool Tool award, patenting our AI reading tool, and most of all, working with educators around the country, around the world, to turn screen time into reading time.
Why are we closing our doors? Sadly, it’s been challenging to continue to offer our tool for free. But we’re excited about the many promising approaches on the horizon that can assist middle grade readers. After all, that’s what’s important: getting kids reading again.
